The Pergola is the perfect place to gather with friends or neighbors for an evening of food and fun under the stars. Barbecue steaks or burgers on the gas grill or unpack a picnic basket to share. Wind down from the stresses of a hectic day with a glass of wine at twilight. Or enjoy a romantic rendezvous under the stars with someone special. When the evenings turn cool and breezy, cozy up to the fire pit with a cup of hot chocolate and roast some marshmallows over the flames. You're going to love the pergola!
WALK/JOG/RUN
Walking Trails
Whether you are strolling for relaxation, jogging to invigorate your workout, or running to get your cardio pumping, you will love the trails that meander around the perimeter of the 20 acres that Texan Ranch Apartments Fenced for privacy and security, the trails extend from the front entrance to the Ranch, circle the apartments and suites, stretch around the rear of the property that borders the canal. Pause to catch your breath near the aerated lake or rest on the Meditation Bench and take in the beauty of the nature surrounding you. For ardent birdwatchers, the Ranch is home to numerous species of birds for you to observe and enjoy.
The Lobby
The Lobby is a charming blend of old and new. Originally a screened porch off the dining room of the old guesthouse, the Lobby has been enclosed and air conditioned for comfort. But the red clay tile floor with the mosaic serape center and the octagonal wooden table with wedge benches preserve the distinctive flavor of the past. You can relax and view the latest news or the weather forecast on the large flat screen TV, browse a copy of the local newspaper while you sip a complimentary cup of coffee or borrow a paperback from our bookshelves. Meet up with your friends or neighbors to play cards or watch a movie together. Make yourself at home and enjoy the ambiance of the Ranch!
Swimming Pool
Stretch out on a lounge chair and catch some sun or relax in the shade at one of our umbrella tables or in the swing under the cabana. Borrow a loaner barbecue grill and enjoy a cook-out with friends. Then serve it up in the bamboo gazebo with seating for 8 at the octagonal table. Swim laps in our sparkling pool or wind down from the tensions of the day in our heated jacuzzi.

Workout Barn
You can get a great workout on the state of the art exercise equipment in the Workout Barn to maintain health and fitness when you're traveling and away from your gym. Or if you prefer an outdoor circuit, head for the shuffleboard / basketball court where you can execute squats, lunges and thrusts following the lines marked on the court. Then you can do chin ups, walk the balance beam and do crunches and curls on the planks adjacent to the court. Shoot some hoops or play a friendly game of "horse" with a friend or neighbor. And afterwards, take a swim in the pool to cool off and refresh, or hop in the heated jacuzzi to soak the ache out of your muscles after a vigorous workout or just to soothe away the tensions of the day.
On Site Laundry Barn
Centrally located in the heart of the Ranch's 20 acres, our on site Laundry Barn has commercial sized washers and dryers for the convenience of our guests. With the Workout Barn right next door, guests can grab a quick workout while they're washing and drying their clothes. A table for folding laundry and an ironing board and iron provide the finishing touch for a "full service" do-it-yourself laundry facility.
RV Sites for Extended Stay
These are available at a monthly rate with access to all Ranch amenities, including cable, Wi-Fi, and full RV hookups.
